The Integration of a Lesson Study Model into Distance STEM Education during the COVID-19 Pandemic: Teachers’ Views and Practice

This paper investigated the integration of a Lesson Study Model (LSM) into distance STEM education during COVID-19 pandemic. The study focused on six dimensions: (1) in learning, (2) (LS), (3) lesson planning processes, (4) challenges planning, (5) evaluation and assessment methods, (6) strategies, techniques. sample consisted 24 science teachers recruited using criterion sampling, which is purposive sampling method. A case study, qualitative research method, was design choice. Data were collected through interviews, videotapes, expert observations. data analyzed inductive content analysis. Themes, categories, codes developed accordance with purpose. Participants had positive opinions about LSM, education, learning. stated that LSM activities within learning contributed to pedagogy knowledge process. faced by participants unfavorable environmental conditions, time management issues, lack experience planning. Expert observations videotapes corroborate these results, indicating integrated results higher quality teaching. Moreover, platforms are promising ways ensure professional development
